Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Haka House brought a delightful culinary experience amid a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I checked in, Trevor Penn and his team made sure I felt at home. Jyotsna, who promptly settled me into my room, was particularly attentive, explaining the myriad amenities available. The communal kitchen and dining area became my favorite nook. I enjoyed preparing meals while connecting with fellow travelers, and there were plenty of dining options nearby, including Il Mee and Number 5 Restaurant—for those evenings when I preferred dining out. The well-maintained kitchen made it easy to whip up something comforting after a day of exploring Auckland's vibrant streets. The room, though compact, was equipped with substantial storage and charging options, striking a balance between convenience and comfort. After a long day, relaxing in the lounge while unwinding with a movie was the perfect end to my day. Haka House proved to be an excellent base for food lovers eager to explore and indulge. I'd gladly return for the blend of community and culinary delights.
